Who We Are
A Balanced Approach to Bold Ideas
At Laven Design, we believe great design starts with balance between beauty and function, creativity and clarity, vision and execution.
The name Laven comes from Lagom (a Swedish word meaning “just the right amount”) and Haven (a safe, dependable place). That’s who we are: creative, grounded, and built for lasting impact.

Why We Do It
Too many great ideas never make it out into the world — not because they’re not good enough, but because they lack the right structure, style, or strategy to succeed. We exist to bridge that gap.
Design is more than how things look — it’s how they work, how they feel, and how people connect with your message. At Laven, we make design that works.
How We Began
A Studio Rooted in Balance, Purpose, and Passion
In 2024, Emma Aho founded Laven Design with a clear vision: to create a business that reflects her values and gives her the flexibility to thrive not only as a designer but also as a wife and mother. For Emma, design isn't just a career. It's a lifelong passion that began in childhood and continues to shape the way she sees the world.
After earning her degree in Graphic Design with minors in Marketing and Art History from Anderson University in 2021, Emma began her professional journey as a Communications Graphic Designer. This experience sharpened her eye for visual storytelling and deepened her understanding of how thoughtful design connects people and ideas.
But Emma wanted more not just for herself, but for the people and brands who have big ideas and need a creative partner to bring them to life.
